COVID-19 Response

Insight Therapy is here for you! In response to the current concerns with COVID-19, we are offering teletherapy sessions.
Your insurance will cover these sessions.

NEW CLIENTS: Schedule a FREE CONSULTATION and have your sessions via a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform. This does not require any downloads and it works with any device that has camera and audio capabilities.

EXISTING CLIENTS: If you have not already scheduled a teletherapy session, please contact us for details.

How often will I have therapy?

You and your therapist will discuss how often would be best for you to attend therapy sessions, depending on your needs and goals for therapy. Typically, therapy occurs every week or every other week. Once you achieve your goals in therapy, you and your therapist may schedule infrequent sessions to “check in.”

How long will my therapy sessions last?

Typically, therapy sessions will last about 55 minutes.

How do I make an appointment?

You may use our online form to schedule an appointment, you may e-mail us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or call (217) 383-0151.

How do I know if I need therapy?

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. In general, if you are overwhelmed by a particular issue or are experiencing an issue that interferes with your day to day life, it is a good idea to seek therapy.

How will I know if I am finished with therapy?

Throughout the therapeutic process, you and your therapist will assess your progress in therapy and discuss plans for the future of your therapy. You may begin to feel “finished” with therapy when you feel a sense of control over the challenge that you faced when you entered therapy.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, everything discussed in therapy sessions will remain confidential. By law, your therapist cannot share information about you with anyone without your consent. However, there are exceptions to confidentiality as follows:

-If child or elder abuse is suspected, your therapist is obligated to inform the proper authorities.

-If you threaten serious harm to yourself, the law permits your therapist to take the necessary steps to ensure your safety.
